If you know someone who is ill, suffering from a disease or is depressed, the best thing to do is to be there for them. It may be a family member, a friend, a co-worker, an employee, an employer or a good client. Send them a get well gift basket to cheer them up. Or a lovely pampering spa gift basket filled with wonderful bath and body items.

If you're planning to visit them in the hospital and are going to bring a gift, always observe hospital rules. Important things to remember when visiting someone in the hospital: keep your visits short, don't visit if you are not feeling well, hold back tears, talk about happy and positive things and above all be encouraging.

It's a good idea to call the hospital before visiting to determine hospital visiting hours and whether the patient has any dietary restrictions. Certain patients may not receive flowers and most hospitals discourage bringing latex balloons.

If you are visiting someone at home or in the hospital and planning to bring a gift basket or you are sending them a gift to show that you are thinking of them and keeping them in your prayers, consider a get well gift basket with crosswords, pamper items, inspirational gifts, puzzles, something to eat and/or keep them busy.
